Who has installed ms4/trex into stock 1998?

Default Who has installed ms4/trex into stock 1998?

Hey guys been doing alittle bit of searching and found mixed answeres... I am wondering if these cams will fit without flycutting into stock 1998 setup.. some are saying yes some are saying no.... so who has actually done it here.... give me your opinions thanks

Yes it will fit and yes you should check PTV clearance when using a cam of that size.

MS4 you will need to flycut... MS3 works.

Wrong. You only need to flycut the MS4 on shaved heads. Stock heads will accept the MS4. It will be tight and you should check PTV as I said but according to TSP it WILL fit. They designed it for max effort w/o having to flycut on a stock headed car.

It will work...I asked one of the sponsors on here from texas speed. He said it will fit on stock heads with no ptv issues.

nice! thanks guys any input on the trex would be great


not sure if its just be im pretty new here but does anyone else notice the search blows???? if i search trex or somthign like that itll pull up threads that have nothing to do with it

I have a t-rex cam stock heads no problems. Check PTV for sure. Very close tollerances. T-rex is designed to work with stock heads. If they have been milled you will have issues! Call thunder racing with any questions you have, they were more than willing to talk to me when I put mine in.
