Best converter for me? size?

3800-4000 should be a nice comprimise with either motor or spray. I'm giving a 5000 a try and probly have it tightened up but being as I already have it I figure why not try something a little on the extreme.

I would run an SST series 9" set at 4600.This is a proven converetr with your combo.Chevpower runs one very similar in an F-Body.

we run converters like this combo all the time. The SST series converter is designed to get you a high enough stall but with excellent efficiency. As long as we are 1200 away we are good.

Mind you, most of these recommendations are for strip only. Without saying what you plan with your car, we can only guess. Also what tires and gears do you have? You may want to only do highway rolls with it and dialy drive it, or you may be looking for only outstanding 60'. I would recommend a converter between a 3500 (nitrous use) up to a 4500 (Max ET effort for the street), on a 2.0 (hooking on street tires, efficient up top) up to a 2.4 (wheels stands on slicks, or good street manners). Talk to the converter manufacturers as they will be the best to suggest a proper converter, not forum users (who mainly have had one coneverter experience).
