918 behive TItanium retainers for ls1 fit lt1?
My Buddy has a brand new set of 918 behive springs with titanium retainers, but they are from an ls1. Will these fit my lt1? Im just upgrading the lt4 springs to these with my hot cam.

Ok so the retainers wont work with different locks? I can get the springs new in box for $100 I see they go for olmost 2x that. Maybe I can sell the ti to a ls1 guy?

They may work just fine, depending upon what part # they are. Are they 7 or 10 degree? If 10 degree (which many use), they don't care how big the valve is, just use the right locks.

^ Agreed, but there's a large difference between 11/32 and 8mm. You could always do the smart thing, have 8mm guides installed in your heads, the seats cut for 2.00/1.55s, put stock LS1 valves in there, throw the LT1 11/32 stuff in the garbage, buy these, and save a ton of valve train weight.

LT1 valves are .343, LS valves are .315, yes they both have locks available in 7 degree or 10 degree BUT that does not mean they will fit eachother THEY ARE DIFFERENT DIAMETERS.
To use a LS retainer on a LT1 valve you would need a thin wall lock. If you know of any available I am sure we would all like to hear about it.
Here is a post from right after beehives came out and someone tried using the LS titanium retainers with our valve diameter.

None of those are 10 degree titanium--which typically are specifically designed to work with all valvestem diameters. We need the part number, otherwise we're just guessing.

I dont have a part # on the retainers and locators So I guess I just need to buy the correct locators, lock, and retainers. Anyone got a part # on these? I believe these are the retainers because they are the only ones comp makes for an ls1 with 918's. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...art=CCA-772-16
