What's a good cam and stall for a DD?
I want to put a cam and stall in my '99 WS6. The thing is, it's my dd, so I was looking for a set up that will still give me really good driveability. Also, when you guys SAY driveablility, what exactly do you mean?

when we say drive ability we mean that it is drivable on the street with out problems. Like dieing or bucking or it wont run the A/C that is what it means to me. Some other people might difine it some other way. Drive ability is what you think it is. Every one has there thoughts on it.
For a cam and stall combo. Do some research. Do you want a cam that chops or one that has some rumble and does not shake the car a lot. Or do you want a sleeper cam. For a stall do you want one that will give you be the best ETs but be a pain in the butt to drive or do you want something that will launch hard but you can still drive it on the streets.
I liked my 228/228 .588/.588 114lsa cam with a PT4000 stall. Great power rumbled the car but did not shake it and the stall made everything that much funner. LOL

I wanted something with 112lsa. Well would it be possible to have a cam installed WITHOUT a stall? What would happen if I did that? I'm not too worried about launching or ET's, I just want something that gives me more power for the street and sounds good.

For stall in a DD you have to ask yourself and analyse where you live. If you live in a hill area or mountainous area, you need a tight stall with a low STR. If you live in a flat area, you can use a bit looser stall.
As for cam, tuning is what makes or brakes the way the cam handles itself.
A great street combo that I like is:
224/224 .609/.581 111+2 LSA with a SS3600 Yank
only 2* overlap, 6300>6500 shifts (depending on gears)
More extreme:
230/230 .612/.592 111+2 LSA with SS4000 Yank.
8* overlap, 6600+ shifts

Not my daily driver but could be very easily. 224/228 .588 .592 Yank SS 3200 and much more. Here's a little 9 sec video of the car idling in gear. I know its a silly video but I was making videos to show my friend helping me tune long distance. I should be in the 11's quite easily this summer and can drive this thing anywhere I want. I know 11's is no big deal, just wanted to show you what a quality tune will do for you.

you're looking for drive-ability? how about stock cam and stock stall? hell a 240+ 110 LSA cam car with a 4000 stall is still drivable. depends on if you're a whiny lil bitch or not. i daily drove a 4500 Fuddle stalled, 237/242 111 LSA cam car for a year and LOVED it. everyone stops and stares at red lights. now that's "drivable"
