Default Sad day for Phils fans and baseball.

Not sure if anyone saw, but Harry Kalas died today. Definitely sad for the Phillies as an organization and baseball.

RIP Harry.

I can remember his voice so vividly. Last year with him calling the final out in the WS. Wow, Phillies baseball just wont be the same.

A very sad day not only in Philly but also in the entire sports world. The bond he had with us fans, fans that are hard to win over is something amazing.

I had the pleasure of meeting him a few time with Whitey when I was 17, right before Whitey died. It was sad when Whitey passed, this is even harder to take. Phillies baseball will never be the same, NO ONE will be able to call those memorable moments like he did. Schmidt's 500th, the '08 World Series....sorry but it'll never ever be the same.

Godspeed Harry.

What a sad day indeed, I was shocked hearing of his passing on the radio while waiting to listen to the game today......on a small old transistor radio in my worktruck! More than one generation has listened to his one of a kind unique voice through those radios! How many times in the almost 40 yrs. of his work have our fathers and even grandfathers sat out on the steps or in their favorite chair listening to him. Man brings back so many fond baseball memories!! Philly baseball will surely be different from now on!

I think what is so crappy about it is it seemed so random. Although, he died doing what he loved, I hope I will be that lucky some day.

The man loved his job with every fiber of his being and died doing what he loved....how many of us can say that we love what we do in life?
