Zex through the filter?
I'm in the market, like a lot of us, for a cheap way to run better times. My knowledge is fairly limited, and, altough I'd rather get an easy install, i could deal with something that id spend the day doing. I found Zex has a nitrous system that sprays through the cone air filter, and increases CFM a little. And, they claim their installation is pretty easy. I'm huntin for 150/125 shot, and the highest zex goes is 125, so i'd deal. Also, they say it only kicks in at WOT, and i could really see problems in that...like launching and then when theyved hooked up enough you can have it at full throttle and not break traction...where with this nitrous system i'd think the tires would come up, therefore you'd have to launch a lot nicer, therefore slowing you down a bit. Is this theory right or am i just crazy?

Thanks..my friend has his NOS setup on an LS1 and he was spraying at aroud 2K. Thanks to techie advice he learned that he shouldn't spray that low. I found the Venom 2000 system and i really fell in love. I figure, i might as well pay 1200 bucks for a system now from venom as a pose to buying one from NOS or NX that isn't as versatile and having to pay another 500 on top of the base price for a good controller...whereas the venom already has it built in. And after reading about their specs, they really go in depth, and that seems fairly assuring. Interesting enough, out of 9 reviews, one of them was all horrible, said this system blew up his engine on an accord. Rice burners....anyways....how would my stock LT1 handle a 175 shot? The system claim's to have the ability to control the injector spray so that you can spray 175 without getting too lean.

Of course I am not exactly an impartial judge since I am a Warehouse Distributor for NX, but there is a guy on CamaroZ28.com(RacinLT1) that is spraying a NX 175 shot on his stock longblock LT1. He has run a best of 11.02. He was trying hard for the 10's with a stock longblock but I think he is having trans trouble now. Thanks

I know this might seem iffy , but my friend ran a 175 dry shot on his 93 lt1 camaro A4 . He ran 10 runs on it and did not hurt the motor (amazingly) but he did however , end up blowing up his rear end and snapping the torque arm once he put slicks on it , before the slicks he ran a 12.2 at 118 mph best . I know because I witnessed all of his runs .
