Default Spohn Drag Bar and DA Shocks

What are you guys doing to make the DA shocks fit? My drag bar clears my QA1 single adjustable shocks with the adjuster turned towards the wheel. It won't clear the DA's due to the larger shock cylinder. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have madman shock relocation kit on order. My understanding is this will only turn the shock so the adjusters are facing forward and won't give me any additional clearance with the shock and drag bar.

the shock relocation brackets do give you more clearance for your shock. It moves the shock away from the rear end.

Although it moves it forward the sway bar is still in the same spot and seems like it would still hit. have you guys had any experience with this? the spohn bar doesnt have the clearance like the bmr does....

i have the spohn bar and mine hit the shock mounts on my rear. it's not hit the shocks just the welded shock mounts on the rear it self and the noise it makes gets old fast.

well, the good thing about our relocates is that they allow you to move the shock (mount and all) side to side a little bit before you weld the mount to the rear end. you shouldn't need more than 1/4" clearance to keep the sway bar from hitting the shock mount.

I'm late to the party....but I've got the same issue with the Spohn bar being too close to the shock mounts and not clearing my Koni shocks at all. What a shame.

It looks like this is a known issue as I can see that the Spohn bar comes from the factory with grind marks in the area of the shock mount.

One more bend on each side, like the BMR bar has, would have been nice.

But I see that the Spohn bar is advertised as "1 5/16" solid heat treated spring grade 4140 chrome moly sway bar". I figure I can do a little grinding on each side of the bar so that it comfortably clears the shock and shock mount.

I didn't see this post. I think I'd rather do this than grind the bar. Got a link to the shock relocation mounts?

It worked to solve my issues. I had to go 1/4" shorter on the bolt that comes with the relocation brackets so they wouldn't hit my LCA's when moved over.

Nice. I need that part just to correct the angle on the bottom shock bushing, never mind the clearance issue.

$40 each....I need to order two, right?
