Default 4l60e broke?

car starts and will go into gear, but after just a few minutes will just sit and rev while in gear. This goes for all gears first through fourth and in reverse also so that im left with nothing. I then shut the car off and start it again and does the same thing. Im lost. Any suggestions?

The trans or converter have failed , The filter becomes blocked as the car runs with debris and you loose presure. When you turn car off and let it set for a while the fluid drains back from the converter and clears the filter till next time.
You have a trans/converter failure

well this all started happening after i installed a yank ss4000 converter about a year ago. It would drive fine then start to slip real bad and thats when i would turn the car off and back on and it would drive fine for hours or for the rest of the time i had the car out. It did that periodically, but just recently is when it started doing it all the time now to the point where it lasts for only a few minutes then just revs and doesnt move. I am assuming it is the converter causing problems and I sure hope this is covered under Yanks warranty. Is this the problem?

I know if you smash the tabs on the pump while putting the converter on it will just rev while in gear. But, i dont think its that becuase its a hit or miss for you. Maybe the pump took a **** or have debris/crap clogging it up somewhere like performabuilt suggested.

WAIT! have you had the car scanned and are you sure its not starting in third gear. Do you know if the code for PO757 has been removed as a test. Or is present ?

It also makes noise while in gear while the car is moving which in turn is causing me to believe that it is in fact the trans pump. Is this correct? It makes no noise while in gear, park or neutral while sitting still. I do remember it making noise while in neutral coasting.

Have PO757 test removed from the PCM in tuning first which should have been done IMO when it was tuned for the stall , Then see what you have. You may indeed have trans damage but that was the issue from the begining with the stall IMO

I would at the very least have it flushed, Though cut and cleaned would be better.
