Default Almost 11's in a stock Z06

I took my 2003 Z06 to test and tune last night.Car has 618 miles on it,only mods are zip-tie mod with factory filter and 26/11.5/16 Et Streets at 14 psi.My goal is to get the car in the 11,s stock.Best pass was
60 ft 1.729
330 ft 5.055
1/8th 7.755
1/8th 90.94
1/4 12.002
1/4 114.76

Conditions 69 deg 78% humidity elevation around 550 ft.I barely missed the 11's I will try again before winter. These cars a very impressive stock.Anyone know how to figure DA with the above stats? The track I ran at does very little prep on tnt nights. At a real track I would have went quicker. For comparison completely stock LS1 auto cars were running 13.50-13.60 all night.

So close but not quite enough.I was going to make another pass and the clouds opened up with 3 cars ahead of me in the staging lanes. If I don't go to Thunders race this weekend I'll go to Clay City and see if I can get a 11.99.Todd you think the car will go 10s with the "adjustments" we've discussed along with a 4.10 gear?

Well, you can go to www.wunderground.com and get the historical weather conditions for the city in which the dragstrip is located, and then to http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm and plug in the elvation of the track and the weather info. . .

Using Grove City, it looks like the DA was roughly 1300 to 1500 feet.

So your Z06 is moving pretty good.

Great job driving. Those '03 Z06's are beasts. I had the pleasure of driving one. 11's are only a pass or two away.

Thanks guys.Using the sites mgreen provided I came up with a DA of +1527.I will try again this coming weekend.I should be able to get there before winter. The car will run 10s in the Spring after a couple of adjustments Unit these IFS cars are a horse of a different color when it comes to launching them,no matter what I do it leaves soft compared to a F-body.

Stand a very good chance Dave. You have to remember that ET is all about the launch. The 4.10s should help with that. You will definitely have the power, just a question of getting her going off the line

Made it to Georgia OK. Hope the weather holds out for the Thunder race after towing ther car along.
