Z06s have a smaller cam base? ....
I have an 03 Z06. so, i read that the base circle on Z06s were smaller as the valve stems were longer. my question: since im planning on camming my car and am replacing the pushrods, do i use the stock length or will the regular base circle not have an impact? i haven't read too much about this being any problem.

As Mark mentioned, you really should measure. Most aftermarket cams will have a smaller base circle diameter compared to a stock cam. To answer your question, yes, the Z06 cam did have a smaller base circle when compared to the stock LS1 cam. To compensate, GM engineers used longer valves and used the stock length pushrods.
When you get an after market cam, you will likely need slightly longer pushrods to compensate for the smaller base circle. But, if you mill the heads or deck the block, that changes the distance between the cam and the rocker arm. Therefore, you need to measure the distance with a pushrod checker ($20 from Jegs/Summit).
