Car shakes badly in 1st/reverse when starting out M6 LS1
As the title says my camaro just out of the blue started doing this. In 1st gear and reverse whenever I start out the car shakes. It goes away quickly once I start rolling or give it more gas. I can lift the clutch pedal and let the car start rolling and no such vibration.
I can put the car in 2nd, and 3rd and start off and the clutch is not slipping. I thought it might be the trans mount but why would it only shake in 1st/reverse... I was recently under the car and nothing seemed to be loose. I have a slight bang in the rear but thats from the exhaust smacking the upper panhard bar...
any ideas:?? thanks guys

Spec Stage 2, it has about 40k miles on it. The clutch is grabbing fine, I can put the car in 3rd and start out no slips. I've never had this chatter before and now ive got a nice grinding noise that accompanies the shakes.

Any other ideas? I'm planning on taking the car to the dealer saturday (I dont trust any shops around here...)
Checked the trans mount, it seems fine. Nothing seems loose in the rear either. I'm thinkin the clutch might be covered in oil, pressure plate bolt loose, etc.
anyone?

This sounds like what my car does but it doesnt do it all the time. I would say 9 times out of 10 it does this. When it doesnt do this it will engage fine and smooth no shake. Let me know if you figure this out.
