Default Are all center bolt valve cover coil the same?

Are the center bolt coils the same on camaros, trans-ams, trucks, GTO's vetts ect? Im worried about the connector to the harness. Tried the dealership and they gave me the whole need the last 8 of the vin, well my car is a 98 and the coils they look up are the perimeter bolt coils. I cant seem to get it thru there head that the motor isnt stock and I need the 99 up coils. Thanks

No. They are not all the same.

Make sure you're certain what covers you are getting before you buy them.

LS1 covers have two connector lines on the passenger side cover. Other ones (LS2 etc.) only have one line, and DO NOT support the LS1 PCV system.

If you manage to get your hands on non-LS1 valve covers, you'll have to change to an LS6 PCV system, or get rid of it entirely.

LS1:

LS2 (I believe):

Thanks for the pics and the info but if you had read the post im asking about the ignition coils. The PCV pics are usefull though, I do have the LS2 valve covers which are center bolt covers and need the center bolt ignition coils.

Your best bet is to find a set on ebay. The mounting points on the valve covers are the same for center bolt covers, but there is a difference in truck coils, LS2 coils and mounting brackets.

Get these.

Coil packs are the same on 98-02 fbodies. There isn't any difference between '98 and the others. All you need is the coil pack bracket. The '98 coils will bolt right up to the bracket for the center bolt valve covers.

Yes, now where would I obtain these brackets?
