Default Red T.A

I have a 1999 Trans am I am getting ready to put a 418 stroker in it and I would like to know what it would take with this block to hit 550 or more to the ground. The heads I have is Patriot Performance Stage 2 heads but I am going to send them back to upgrage to stage 3 The cam I have in the block right now is a comp cams solid roller with the lift at 694 intake 691 exhaust.
P.P told me me heads will not lkast with the solid roller so I plan on pulling the cam out and putting in something else. I would like to hit these numbers just on motor. I also plan on a 300 shot of gas but I want to get to the 550 to 600 range just on the motor. Any help on what I would need in the block? I have the 418 in a crate just waiting to be put in.
Thanks

Thanks

Different heads with the right cam, but definitely better flowing heads.

Thinks for the reply. The stage three head from p.p won,t work? If price was a problem what heads would you go with?
Thanks

It is not that they won't work but to achieve 550 rwhp it wont be easy.
If on budget I would look at a set of well massaged L92s

listen to pred, hes one of the most well respected around here. let him spec you a cam, **** let him build you a great combo that you can go out and buy! id say youre going to need some real nice flowing heads, some decent compression, and a good size bump stick. also, if you are changing the drivetrain any, (9"/12 bolt0 that will skew dyno #s, so dont be concerned if you do not hit them.

I already have a solid roller in it and it,s 694 on the intake with a 691 on the exhaust. It is a 418 stroker block. I am not sure my p.p heads would even work on it.
