If you had a big HP 427 LS6 C5R motor would you convert to stick if you had a A4?

If you had a big HP 427 LS6 C5R motor would you convert to stick if you had a A4?
I am seriously considering swapping out to a built race prepped M6 Tranny (RODNEY's/Crashed 94s tranny) as i am getting sick and tired of getting the tuning bugs worked out of my 98 vert no powered by my MTI built 427 C5R LS6 headed motor. The 97 and 98s are known for having ALOT of shifting/tuning bugs when it comes to high rpm shifting at WOT, especially on the 2/3 shift and converting to a stick would solve all of my headaches.
I realize that if stay patient and give the A4 tranny one more season to get the bugs worked out my car will certainly et better with an A4 tranny than it will with a stick and of course will be less likely to break upon launch at the track. That being said, my car is 99% predominately a weekend warrior street car which is driven on the highway alot and we all know how fun six speeds are on the street but don't get me wrong if i could get the bugs worked out i love the point and shoot ability of the A4 in a big HP/TQ machine and that's my preference but i hate the tuning and shifting bugs which have always be inherent in my 98.
Help me make my mind up. Stick with the A4 and even consider going to a seperate stand alone A4 TCI computer for fine tuning if i can't get the bugs worked out with LS1 eidt or GO WITH A MANUAL TRANNY and get rid of all my tuning WOES!
THANKS

If I had a big HP car like that that was 99% street, I'd definately go for a 6-speed. Why not go one better and use a beefed up Z06 tranny (M12 or something, I think).

TH400.....
I miss the 6-speed too, maybe down the road I will switch back...
If its the weekend warrior, put a direct port on it with the TH400, and call it a weekend....

Six speed all the way. You said that its a weekend car, so you're not worried about track times and such, then you should go six speed. You'll have alot more fun on the highway and you'll get much better gas milage.

well i know my vote..i went m6 to th400..said the hell with this and went back to a built M6 and couldn't be happier..i'm actually DRIVING the car again.
the 400 trans was no fun to take the car anywhere and really wasn't fun to race either..no challenge, any idiot can let go of a transbrake button and hit a ratchet shifter when the shiftlite comes on...had a blast the one time i've gone back to the track with the m6 again..
only had it running maybe a month and i've already taken 3 road trips totalling like 500 miles..
