Default Brass fittings ok???

Here's my scenario. I changed my bottle valve so I could have two ports that were direct bottle pressure (so my bottle gauge and heater switch could read direct bottle pressure) Now, this new valve sits the ports a bit lower and my gauge now hits the base of my opener and won't screw in. So, I went to Lowes and picked up a brass 1 1/2" long 1/8" pipe and 1/8" union to extend my gauge out away from the bottle, will these fittings be ok for this? It all screws together ok, just making sure these brass fittings are ok for nitrous oxide and wont cause a problem with the aluminum bottle valve, Thanks
