Default Coming to Houston several times this week . . .

and I'm seriously thinking of finishing my trips off with a trip to the track on Friday evening. Now,
1. I've heard traction is better (prep or whatever) there at Baytown compared to SAR. If I'm running 1.64s and 1.66s at SAR with ~ 360 RWHP/375 RFt.Lbs any guesses what I should get at Baytown? Along with that, does my 12.18 at SAR translate to much better there? (did a full weight-full interior-full tank[didnt plan properly] run of 12.38 last week).

2. I've not got an ACTUAL driveshaft safety loop, but I've got a body-mount UMI torque arm, would they consider the cross-bar reasonable enough for that loop requirement?

3. Anyone else considering running that Friday (5th of June) this far out and willing to hang w/me then to make sure I don't screw up local rules & such? I'll be driving my 01' Z and trying to break it again Then I'll have to drive it back here to S.A.

Dont know about traction being better, SAR does run some fastass cars that get plenty of traction running in the 6's, 7s, 8s, and so-on. If your running 12's, dont know how much better your traction would get. But Houston is closer to sea level and people do end up running about 1/10th or 2/10ths faster over there cuz of that. Good luck over there

they say that crossbrace can count as a driveshaft safety loop, but honestly last time i was at HRP i was running 11's and they never even looked under my hood, much less under the car

Of all the times I've been out there, they never asked me about my DS safety loop and never looked under the car. You will probably be ok.

What they do get upset about is of you run a 11.49 or faster and not have a roll bar and jacket.

Thanks all, don't gotta worry about the 11.49 or such, but I wear a jacket anyway. Anyone planning on taking a trip to the track Friday?
