Ls7 Clutch breakin period?
I was told by many people its 500miles of stop and go traffic? Just want to verify this and does it have to be stop and go traffic, or can it be like 250miles of stop and go and then 250miles of normal steady 65mph driving on the highway?

Kevlar clutches require a 500 mile city driving break in period.
The LS7 is a regular organic clutch though, so no such break in period is requied. Just like when you buy a new car off the showroom floor, the clutch is ready to go.
However, it would be wise to break it in by driving normally for the first 500 miles. So avoid dumping it, powershifting, ect.

Yea I was just wondering how they are, I should be a little over 400rwhp with all my mods when this is all done I was planning to just go easy and drive below 2000rpms for at least 200miles, then just drive it on the highway a little bit and fluctuate the rpms some. Once I hit 500miles I was going to start beating on it.

I was bolt ons when I was breaking in the clutch. I drove it hard for about 70 miles hard while I had bolt ons. When I had the cam installed and was getting it dyno'd, it slipped the first pull but after that it was all good.

So although a break in is not necessarily required with an organic clutch, its still definitely reccommended.

My LS7 clutch on the other hand... That thing got some breaking in, and still didn't hold up to power and/or sticky tires.

My old setup was running ~500 crank on motor and ~600 crank on nitrous. Couple of good launches, and it was slipping. Not long after, it got so bad that even if I was already rolling and did a pull I could smell it roasting from inside the car on motor
