Default th400 clearances?

i saw this question covered if i was using an ultrabell. but at this time im only using the stock bellhousing. will the top 4 bolts on the rear main cover cause a problem?

I just got done puting my TH400 in with the stock bell on it and I had no issues, it went right in. In fact it was easier than the 60E was because its physically smaller. I did cut the ears off on the sides of the housing though to give me more clearance for the headers.

awesome. yes im barrowing a saw jaw to take the ears off this week. if it wasnt for the wait on my valve body being on back order it would be going in next weekend

If you got a hacksaw I would just use that, the metal is soft enough, took me like 5 minutes to do it with a good blade on it.
