I don't know anything about that specific pump, but from the specs it looks like it would work, got any more specifics about what kind of setup your running, like return style, tank, regulator, etc.?

it will be a returnless style, with the corvette fuel filter so it should regulate it at the filter and alow me to run the return off the filter...stock tank using the stock pickup

You can get a WAlbro 255 pump for about that cost why not just go with that? I have a walbro 255 and it has 5/16" inlets and outlets for some reason. I'm positive its a 255.

Note: it puts out 43gph at free flow... this is not the same flow rate as @ 85psi. Try to google a Pressure vs. Flow graph for this pump, or better yet see if Summit can help you with that. Also as said above, the 5/16" should be a cautionary sign that it might not cut it. I would look for a pump with about 60-70gph of free flow, even if it is going on a 5.3L, not a 5.7 or 6.0 (room to grow for later )
EDIT: From MSD's website...
"THIS PUMP IS FOR FUEL INJECTION, SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS.
AT 30PSI 43GPH -> 80PSI 39GPH
...that equates to about 40.6gph @ 58-60psi... I wouldn't say that's enough for an LS motor. I would go with the Walbro 255 for the same(ish) price!
