LS1 air cleaner & housing into a 96 Z-- How To I have a 2002 LS1 engine into a 1996 Z car. When I try to bolt the LS1 air cleaner housing down the core support is different and it won't bolt down properly. Looks like I have to go to a 1998 and newer core support or modify the one in the car. Also the hood hits the housing any suggesstions on what hood wiil fit the 1996 Z car.
