Will 00' Z28 catalytic converters work on a 99' Trans Am? Thanks!

really, i thought 98-00 was the same and then 01-02 they changed it up.

nope, pretty sure they change the exhaust setup on the 00 model. anyone can correct me if i'm wrong.

if you want to put a 00 converter on a 99 you'd have to use the 00 headers, cats and y-pipe. unless you are just replacing the driver side cat. that will fit.

98 TA is right, I just did this on my 99.

Beginning on the Y2K F-Bodies GM changed over to the cast iron exhaust manifolds.
When they did this, the location where the passenger side exhaust manifold connects to the cat moved further forward.

Also on the pre 2000 cars the passenger cat is a single piece with the Y-Pipe, it was not flanged in like the later cars.
