Default Found my oil leak, need help diagnosing.

While installing my LS6 intake manifold, I took this picture:

To compare, here is what the top of the block should look like:

With the manifold back on, you can see where the oil leak has been:

This rubber elbow circled in red has a cut in the bottom of it, which was caused from a metal strap of some sort that goes inside the tube. I'm guessing that this is the PCV system?

yes it's the PCV system, you might think of investing in a catch can.

I had the same issue on mine. Except it was the the fitting in the back. It was a boot that had two hoses meet to come out to one. GM wanted $120.00 but the complete set. They said they couldn't get just the boot. I made my own with heater hose and a Brass T fitting. Its been holding up great and costed me under $10.00.

Wow! For that kinda money you could convert to a LS6 PCV system and possibly eliminate most of the oil in the PCV, especially if the intake is already removed.

Yeah if I can't find that elbow piece, then I'm gonna go another route in fixing the problem. $120 for that whole rubber tube assembly is ridiculous.

Could you describe a little more in detail as to how you fabricated this? As in what parts and where you got them from, and maybe a picture? I'd really appreciate it!

Take all your stuff off and just recreate it with new heater hose and fittings. Its all at the auto parts store.
