Default 5pt harness certification

where do i send my 5pt harness for recertification. how much and is it worth it or should i just buy a new harness. when you buy new how long are they good for?

It depends on what brand you have. Simpson doesnt offer a recert. They give you a discount if you send your old stuff in. Stroud and RCI offer a recert starting at $50.00. You will have to call the manufacturer and get the info.

rci platium is 4yrs and they say you get a card that they were recert them 1 time for free to the orginal purchacer. Sound like a great deal. But there this gay sliver right now

I have used RJS and M&R. Both will re-web and re-cert their belts for $40-$50. Of the two, the M&R's are much nicer. The camlock is higher quality (would not go back to latch-link again!), they have plating on all their metal parts, where as the RJS's got a little "funk" on them over the years, especially when sitting over the winter.

With some of the "discount" brands, I have seen some of their parts look good and some bad. So it is one of those things where you get what you pay for!

any pics or info on the M&R?
stroud will reweb a std 5 way for 50 bucks, you pay the shipping there.

I went with the black polyester (like the nascar and pro NHRA belts, less stretch...), but they basically look like this:

Sent mine right to rjs and a note to call for credit card payment. It was 49 bucks and had them back in less then a week.
