Need some input on selling my engine.
I'm thinking of selling my 2000 Z28's m6 engine (complete longblock). I have about 80500 miles on the motor. I am the second owner after 52k. Never been to the track after I bought it. My engine has seen some runs though. It is mildly cammed specs (206/212 .515/ .522 112 lsa) now this motor on stock suspension/ gears has outrun everything upto a m6 ls3. I have inched out an auto ls3. It runs great, but it has some kinda valvetrain issue as it burns oil quickly between changes. What do you think I should put this motor up for? I'm thinking about $2000 plus shipping?

if it is burning oil quickly, most likely ringlands let go so I would put it up for 1000, as that is about how much it is worth.
As long as you are honest you should be able to ask 1200-1500 and come down to 1000.

the motor runs strong. never had any issues with it besides the rings. and they have been like that before i bought the car. It needs about a quart every two weeks. 1000 is bs for a motor that runs this good.
