LS1 windage tray on 4" stroke LS2 block
So I have an LS2 shortblock with a 4" stroke. I can get the windage tray to clear the rod bolts by shimming the tray up on washers by about 0.120". Here's my question:
Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks,

- This will move the oil pickup closer to the pan floor by 0.120"...is this a problem?
- Could I use an LS7 windage tray instead? If so, I can't find a part number for it.
Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hmm. Well, I answered one of my questions: the windage tray is p/n 12618422 and costs about $13. So for that price I'd rather buy one than modify the LS1 tray. But then the question is: does the LS7 tray bolt up to the LS2 bottom end? I'm guessing that it does, but it would be nice to know for sure.

The F-body windage tray is only a partial length tray. It doesn't go all the way to the front of the motorl. If the LS7 tray is full length then it will not work I don't think.
