Default LS1 windage tray on 4" stroke LS2 block

So I have an LS2 shortblock with a 4" stroke. I can get the windage tray to clear the rod bolts by shimming the tray up on washers by about 0.120". Here's my question:
  1. This will move the oil pickup closer to the pan floor by 0.120"...is this a problem?
  2. Could I use an LS7 windage tray instead? If so, I can't find a part number for it.

Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks,

Just cut out the windage tray where the oil pickup tube mounts so the mount rests on the main stud again.

Hmm. Well, I answered one of my questions: the windage tray is p/n 12618422 and costs about $13. So for that price I'd rather buy one than modify the LS1 tray. But then the question is: does the LS7 tray bolt up to the LS2 bottom end? I'm guessing that it does, but it would be nice to know for sure.

The F-body windage tray is only a partial length tray. It doesn't go all the way to the front of the motorl. If the LS7 tray is full length then it will not work I don't think.
Just call one of the sponsors that has experience building motors and ask their advice.
