Semi auto shotties aren't nearly as great as their pump action brethren. To much crap to go wrong and cause a jam. Now those M1 garands are tempting me.

Ya i was thinking about that..... And reliability is a big factor.

have been very happy with my mossberg 12 gauge pump and my Springfield 1917 bolt action. Both have lots of firepower I can bring to bear but in different applications. I really want a garand though.

I know ..458s dont start til around low-mid 2k... but I have seen used ones for 800 or less.. thats why I was asking..

.700 nitros are 60+k and about 80 per round back in 2003... Now Im sure theyre 100 per round

That's a good way to start. Shooting ranges have limited amounts of weapons though.
