Default if only using one fan, which on high or low

If I am only going to run one 16" fan off the ECM which one should I use the low speed or high speed relay. I am in Georgia so its a little warm here. But does the low speed not come on sooner than the high speed and would the 2500cfm fan keep it cool enough on low speed or do I go with the high speed and let it come on at a little higher temp but cool better. Doesn't really matter if you are tuning the car since you can adjust what temperature the high and/or low speed fan switches on. I would personally use something with a little more pull than 2500cfm but thats just me. What kind of car? How much airflow will the radiator see without the fan running? I know in a mustang 2500cfm = fail.

There are a lot of good OEM dual and single electric fans that work well and move a lot of air. The taurus, MK VIII and 6 cyl contour Ford fans are all pretty stout and move something like 3600cfm or more...

I run my Tarus fan on low speed only. Haven't needed the high speed setting.

Try the low and see if it works. You can always switch to the high later.
