Rate my passes! Lots of cool footage, angles, and kills!
This is a follow up to these threads I've had going for awhile:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...need-help.html
https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...ars-tires.html
I used some of the advice in here which steered me to buying some more parts, taking some off, and adjusting my setup, and I think it going me going in a better direction that I was. Not to mention a couple new P.B's for me and my buddy. I think I'm done for the year though. No point in beating on the car anymore to run the same or even worse. I'm not in the mood to buy anymore parts right now either. Next spring a new rear end yes, but not right now.
After watching this video and other than my times being so slow for my HP, what do you guys think about the following?
http://www.fquick.com/videos/viewvideo.php?id=8690
-Did my car ever even "hook"? I think it did.
-I don't have enough gear to get its fat *** outta hole really nice without bogging or spinning do I?
-And will 4.11's and my current 26" tire size fix my 4th gear powerband issue? I wanna wind it out.

I agree the 4.11 is the way to go. but,not an e/t drag...they don't hook on my car. M&H Racemaster cheeter slick 26x11.5x15. I cut 1.42 60's n/a with a m6 trans weighting 3,700lbs with me in it. www.intercotire.com or jegs and summit sells them too. They worked WAY better then m/t tires on my car. goodluck to ya.

the vid was cool your 60' wasnt very good ranging from 2.0-2.3 if you can drop that your times will fall. but it does seem to be hookin but bogs and spins a little sometimes.
i defiantly would go with 4.10's minimum and an et drag dont mess with a radial trust me been there done that its very frustrating ! but i would concentrate on getting a rear end cause your 10 bolt will not like cutting 1.7's or better 60ft's for very long
Congrats on the improvement! Nice videos too. What camera and mounts did you use?
Why are you done for the year? Wait untill it cools down some and you will probably gain a few tenths and mph.

You gotta admit though, I did get the 18"s to hook. You can see them flatten. Trying to get my **** to hook has taught me alot, I just haven't gotten around to drag wheels yet.
There's such a fine line between bog and spin with my setup, it's very touchy. I've actually gotten my best 60's with a little spin which is back asswards.
Besides, watching an f-body just leave a new Z06 like that is priceless.
I'm probably going to go with some bogart welded RT's.

he is right, try to slip the clutch. an tire spin is what you want, really, just look at the top fuel dragsters or any other high horsepower car. you do want it to hook up, just not a %100. tire spin helps your car to move forward an keep you engine rpm's up where they need to be. big wheels are nice when you hook up, but they dont make you any faster. look at some of these DR guys that run 8's or 7's even, there is hardly any wheelies, they just flat out an go. believe it or not they have tire spin to. you probably need a high speed camera to see it, but they do.

Radials seem to be all the way on or all the way off to me.
I'm gonna go with some Hoosier QTP's on 15 Bogarts in the future.
