Set up question? Class rules setup
So out here on the west coast we really dont have any heads up classes. We have the pcsa and wchra. Well im trying to run a class next year in the wchra which is called limited 10.5. It is a great class but the rules for E.F.I are kinda of iffy. here are the big rules.
28x10.5 tire
single plate using only 1 set of solenoids and no progressive
single 10lb bottle and 4an line
Here is where it gets tough, the intake rules are pretty weird to me.(qouted from website)
CARBURETOR / THROTTLE BODY:
Carburetor limited to a single conventional (4150 type design).
********No dominators type carbs allowed.**********
Throttle body limited to a single 80 mm max. 90mm Mass Air Meter max
Dual throttle bodies legal if factory equipped however, they will be limited
to a max 90mm single mass air meter.

Ok so this rules out a FAST 90/90 set up and a carb style with top mount 4150 throttle body. I would either have to run a ls6 or carb with an elbow and 80mm throttle body.
I was wondering what you guys would do motor and intake wise roughly? Im thinking 402 or 408 some good compression but have no idea if I can even be competitive with my intake choices.
This class has gone as fast as 8.60 but 8.80's to 9.0's would go rounds.
thanks.

id build a 39X aluminum motor (3.9 crank 4" bore) . Put a vic jr with a spacer that would adapt to the best flowing 80mm tb i could find. We had a jr setup with a 105 on top and it worked well. Is it jet limited? by 1 set of noids do they mean only 1 nitrous 1 fuel? or would a 4 noid DP be ok?

here are the exact rules:
NITROUS:
Nitrous is limited to a conventional single stage plate system.
Two solenoids for nitrous system MAX, one nitrous, one gas and a third is
permitted only for a purge system. Plate has to be commercially available
System can only use one 10lb bottle, with a traditional steel braided - 4 line,
min. of 6 feet in length from bottle to nitrous solenoid.
**No progressive type controllers or Push Systems allowed**
So a plate, 1 nitrous, 1 fuel and as big as jets possible to get it to hook and what you can get there on a 4an line.

anyone know what a FAST 90/90 flows?
It would def be a fun class if I can get somewhat competitive, I want to go heads up racing.

Get a good Plate like a wilson. then get an aluminum spacer and have the 80 mm tb adapted to it. If you can control timming you can make a progressor by just pulling 10 extra degrees on say a 300 hit then ramping it back in. the nitrous will be there but without the timming to burn it. it will reduce power. hewll the carb guys prolly will be running THE MSD traction control boxes. LOL Ride the dots!
