Default Anyone else have alotta valvetrain noise?

I know its common in these cars..but man..every time i start the car, the ticking makes me cringe! I know everything is mechanically sound in the car..pushrod are new, lifters are new ect ect. Its just that god awful tick! I had to go to a shorter pushrod with the heads/camshaft in the car(turbo) car. Im almost thinking i need to get a little longer pushrod.

7.3 sounds awfully short - how did you measure? What are the cam and head specs?
