Default I added suspension then I slowed down. Help

My 98 car consistently ran 7.7's in the 1/8th with a 60' in the range of 1.70-1.73. It was a bolt on car with on et radials, yank 3600ss converter, and it had the front sway bar removed. Then the car started to have slight traction issues and started running 7.8's with a 60' of 1.75-1.77. So I bought UMI single adjustable lca's, panhard bar, relocation mounts, and subframe connectors. I put them on with the lca's in the lower holes in the relocation mounts and squared the rear end up. The car gained a lot of traction on the street so I was pretty pumped. I went to the track last night and I couldn't get out of the 8.0's. I kept having 1.79 60' time. If I tried to leave between 1000-1500 rpm's the car hooked but just didn't leave hard. I also tried leaving about 2500 rpm's but the car hooked for about 5 feet then is started spinning. Does anyone have any suggestions? It is pretty disappointing spending $450 and going backwards a couple of tenths lol. Also the car tries to go hard right when I launch it now. Everything is squared up so I am thinking I need a bigger rear sway bar, is this right?

Thanks for any help,
Chase

probably bogging

when you launch, does the car nose dive and then lift back up?

What tires are you running? You're putting more power to the tires now, and you may need to get them hotter, or start playing with tire pressures now.

I run Mickey Thompson ET radials at about 18 psi. Yeah I think the suspension is unloading because a couple of times it hooked then about 5 or 10 feet out it started spinning. I was told to look at a set of rear QA1 single adjustable shocks should be my next investment, what do ya'll think?

Could it be the time of year and the temperature causing you to lose power ? ? ?

Only get QA1s if you don't care about driving on the street.

Try a pair of "drag bags", Air Lift air helper springs. Bet they work wonders for you. It'll do the same thing for you the bigger rear bar will, but only when you add air. That way, you don't have to tolerate that big rear bar's traits on the street all the time.

It would seem you need to change your launch method, a good bit...because you improved traction a lot. You've changed the dynamics of the car a ton, for the better, but it will require some fiddling with your car and your driving to find the new sweet spot. When you add power, you'll have to do it all over again.

Your tires may be worn out too...

The tires are good, but I am thinking that I need to just keep playing with the launching. Can I not adjust the QA1's so they will do good on the street?
