LS2 knock sensors using my Ls1 harness ?
So tomorrow afternoon i officially start swapping all the stuff off my Ls1 onto my Ls2 to drop in my 01 ss. Everything appears to be pretty straight forward with the exception of the knock sensors. Let me know what I need to purchase or how to work around this please thanx.

you have to tap the knock sensor bolt holes on the ls2 which are on the side of the bolt with a 10x1.5 tap, then install LS1 knock sensors, then make or buy an LS2 knock sensor extension harness

The LS2 knock sensors are completely different from the LS1 sensors. From what I have read the computer needs a different program to interpret them correctly. So even if you wire them up that doesn't mean they are going to work correctly.

thats why you have to use LS1 knock sensors and tap the block for them and make or buy an extension harness, katech makes one i believe?

Thank you sir. I did get the left knock sensor screwed in but will have to tap the right side in, no biggie there. Tomorrow the extensions are getting overnighted to me. Another issue is the cam sensors. I already pulled my Ls1 timing cover off the Ls1 and did the same on the Ls2. What/how do I go about the cam sensors? Aside from this It's pretty straight forward and should be running and tuned by Friday.

the cam sensor is on the front of the LS2 and they make an extension harness for that as well. the A and C pins have to be swapped for the LS2 cam sensor to work with the LS1 PCM im not sure if the extension harness katech sells is allready swapped you would have to ask them.
