Default TA diff cover

Any body know anything about them... My car has the TA diff cover and motive 4.10 gears just wanting to learn more about them

well, not much to learn about a rearend cover. it holds in the fluid and helps to keep the rear together since the 10 bolts arent great under power. outside bolts go to 20-22 ft lbs, and the center 2 bolts torque to 6 in lbs.

i just wasn't sure if the stock cover had the two center bolts on them..

no it doesnt, the stock one is also alot thinner and doesnt have the drain hole or fill in it which makes things alot easier.

One thing that bugs me is the TA cover doesn't have a magnet, but the stock one does. I've been thinking about rigging one in there. Supposedly slightly higher fluid capacity with the TA cover also.

ya i think the ta cover sticks out from the rear a lil bit more than the stock one does, but not by much. i just fill till it pours out the side and cap it off.
