So im looking into swapping from a t56 6spd to a th400 with 4k stall and trans brake . I know the rear ends are shitty and know everyone does the swap but is anyone still running on stock rear end and what are they doing to it?? A girdle ?? I have 410's already . Changing axles what will work and try to stay with the stock one for a lil bit.......Im budgeting and want the stock to hold for a few good passes without the trans brake and than atleast 2 with the brake ?? Let me know please what you are doing with the stocker ???

well a auto will make the rear last alot longer .. and if you launch on a set of slicks and
t56 say bye bye to the 10bolt .like i said i have a perfect condition 10bolt . ill let go for 200$ since your local . or better yet you should just upgrade to a 12 or 9" as soon as you can .. its expensive but worth it in the long run . its better to built a car from the rear up .. lol ..

No not really its basically gonna be a hustle car and ocassionally to the track ??? But mostly its a street warrior and to show up and upset and break hearts looking to be a straight up monster on the juice and cammd and some suspension work too

If you footbrake it, should last a bunch of passes. Trans brakeing it is totally different story. Think of side stepping the clutch at 6000.
