timing with a low compression turbo setup
what timing do you guys shoot for with a 370 built motor, the turbo is a pt88, compression is 8:2.1 and boost is 17psi for low boost. The block is also O-ringed so pushing water is under control. i have 18* degrees in it now with no knock, a/f in the 12.2 range. im going to tune the alky tonight. is 22-24* sound about right? alky is a twin nozzle, 20 gal/hr. ive had it up to 22psi with 93 pump gas only with 15* timing. low compression for the win i guess.

You'd have to ask Intmd8 @ Speed Inc. to doublecheck but my Formula was running 19 degrees of timing. Ran race gas at 25 psi, I think meth would be hella risky @ 867rwhp like were I was at.
I ran 93 pump on 16 psi and went 10.00@139 with some turbo issues.
8:1 348ci.

This doesn't sound very safe.

I know nothing about the alky stuff, but 22-24 degrees of timing plus alky + 17 psi = sounds aggressive. You're treating the alky like it's 110 or maybe even C16. I ran 9.4's with 110 a number of times with that low compression and it was no big deal.

A2A. 106 octane and I think stock had 28* and I ran that to 10lbs. I'm new to tuning, that's for certain. I had a feeling I had far to much timing in this damn thing, but it runs VERY well for what it is.
