How will these heads perform? hey yall.. one of my frineds just had an ls2 swapped into his 03 silverado and it use to be a 4.8L truck..he said the heads off of the 4.8 block was the same heads off the 5.3 block..which would be 5.3 heads,, is this true?? if so what do yall think about me using those heads on my car? how will it perform with the mods i curenlty have?? how much hp gain am i lookin at? or would yall not reccomend this and just save up for afr's or tric flow

I think the biggest thing with the 5.3 heads is they bump compression, but I dont know if they flow any better then the 241's unported. I would look into getting some 243's or 799's. Or you could send those heads to TSP or TEA and get them ported.
