LS1 240sx Guys Help Me Out Plz Im gonna be doing an LS1 swap in my S13. Now all the kits ive found are made to suit the t56 trans. I wanna use the 4l60e for a bit then make the switch over to a th400 in time. Is the mounting of the 4l60 different than the t56?

I believe the mount sits further back on a t56 as well as the th400 vs the 4l60. I am planning on using either a th350 or 400 also in a 240sx. I think the 400 might be too big for the tunnel though. Was planning on getting a core tranny to check fitment. Check out silviav8forums.com , there's some guys running the 4l60e.

I would go ahead and order the kit for t56 and make an adapter to bolt onto the crossmember and transmission. That way when you do switch it will be easier to bolt up depending on the tail shaft. I just put a short tail shaft th350 in my car and made an adapter out of thick angle iron. I can email some pics if ya like. Just PM me
