Should be 40-42psi @ idle and 60-65psi @ WOT.

35 at idle is fine. What weight of oil and did you use the high pressure spring?

I never opened the oil pump or remember what it looked like.Because I bought it several years ago and had a friend install it.So there's different springs that it came with for different oil pressures.

Yeah that sounds exactly like my situation on my 408.I bought my oil pump over 4 years ago I'm wondering if I just got the first cheap design.I think I'm just going to pull it out and get the TSP one.I invested to much money in this motor to let an old design oil pump break it down.

My brother has the TSP one and his oil pressure is way higher than ours. That's what I'm going to get before I start hammering it.

I don't understand why you guys are stuck on needing higher oil psi? My understanding is 40psi @ idle, 60psi @ wot is plenty.

The SLP pump comes with an additional spring for higher pressure.
