wont downshift to 2nd HEY guys my 96 z i just put a **** ton of money in work in it and now when i try to downshift it to 2nd gear it wont go into it and also has trouble staying in reverse is there a cheaper solution than a whole new trans T56

If it's just a stock T56 with more engine power now, it probably just needs a new set of blocker rings and a new Rev gear (flip synchro sleeve). How many miles on the T56 ?
Check with a sponsor for a rebuilt quote.
