Default Noise Diagnosis.

Need some help, after my track visit I had no symptoms, but two days later after a normal 1 hour drive I started hearing a noise coming from directly below/in front of the shifter.

It sounds like a light scratching, or like marbles running over wood...if that makes sense.

Goes away if you sit still or in neutral for a while, but is loudest in between shifts.

I don't know really anything else other than that, any insight is appreciated.

Sitting still, no noise? Neutral, or in gear, clutch in/clutch out, no noise?

Only when drving down teh road do you hear it? I would check your fluid (tranny) level (might be low), and drain it (check for contaminents) and refill with new fluid.

Have you noticed any difficult in shifting? Where is your engagement point relative to pedal travel?

It shifts and feels just like normal.

Just kinda sounds like a scratching while driving, clutch pedal is not pressed, but I can also hear it if I push the pedal in or go into neutral. Pretty much the noise is full time until I stop, then it slows down and stops as well.

If it stops when you are stop, I would say possible tranny noise (why I said check fluid level)

Could also be a TOB noise, but if you come to a stop, and it goes away...would think tranny...

Thats why I put it here lol, its right after me beating on it, and it feels like directly below and in front of the shifter.

I'll check the fluid tomorrow, I was planning on changing it anyway since I just hit 60,000, thanks, keep you guys posted.
