Not sure if you really want to crete your own MAP but if you do here's the *.map file format specification used by EFILiveV5:
http://www.starrperformance.com.au/e...index.htm#.map
Usually what you do is record a "map" by driving the engine through it's various rpm/map load points. Then copy the recorded map to the override map.
You can save/load maps - which is far easier than generating your own map files.
Usually you would do this:
Select at least RPM, MAF and Spark PIDs, so that the spark map can be recorded. Select the "Maximum" map display.
Once the recording has "filled-in" the cells that you want to override, stop recording and click on the "All" button to select all cells. Then click the Copy button to copy the cells to the override display.
Select the override display.
You can alter any selected cell or group of cells by using keys: , . [ and ] for small inc/dec and large inc/dec. Or you can highlight a blank cell and set its value by clicking the "Set" button.
To actually force the overrides, you need to open the control panel (Ctrl+F11) and select the Ctrl+F8 tab page and check the "Use spark map" and/or "Use fuel map" check boxes.
