Default 86 camaro 4l60e conversion, speedmeter ?

I have a customer with a 1986 iroc we are switching out the 305 for a LS1 and the 700r4 out for a 4l60e from a 1999 camaro. What is offered/needed to convert the speedo over for the 4l60e ?

You could send tail shaft housing out to be drilled for speedo cable and reuse your stock gauges. That's what I'm doing. Or I beleive the aftermarket speedo's like autometer will work with the vss signal.

Default Speedo function

They now make a tranmission extension housing that has both bosses on it one for the Speedometer adapter to connect the cable and a boss to mount the output speed sensor. the gear that goes on the output shaft serves two functions , it has teeth to drive the speedo gear as well as a reluctor for the speed sensor to count teeth then the computer converts it to vehicle speed. i cannot remember the company , possible TCI . if not check Street& Performance web sight.
