It does not always happen like that...case in point 06 tour started in Orlando Fl. and ended in Englishtown NJ ... 07 started in Cleveland, Ohio and ended in Little Rock, AR. Variety is the spice of life...have you noticed that very little stays the same...I plan on rockin out no matter where is is as long as it on the east side of the rocky mountains...::rock::chug::drive:

What would be cool is to end the power tour on the beach in Mississippi. Like at the Coast Colesium. Miles of beach on Hwy 90.
Been waiting YEARS for this.

Having the end and award ceremony at the USS Alabama site would be awesome. They have a HUGE grassed area where car shows are held and they have a covered indoor venue area.

Surprised that they are doing Springfield IL in downtown, think the fairgrounds are better - they do have the Route 66 Festival downtown though(run by Family Events also)
Live 10 miles outside of Springfield, last time they came through here we offered free camping for a number of those on the tour and will probably do so again - probably have a party Sunday night, not sure if we will do the tour though since we have already made vacation plans for late June/early July next year
Will update as we get closer ;)

The miles will probable not be as you posted. There will be mostly 2 lane highway miles seeing the good ol USA instead of the interstate dull miles. But it will be fairly close to 1300 + whatever for the whole tour. I am looking forward to cruising through the part of the country where I grew up surounded by hot rods....:drive:

We went 3 days in 08 and 2 days in 07.
Also starting on thrus in nashville Chuck Hanson will be putting on his Chevelleabration show. It is by far the finest collection of Chevelles in the country.

for a phuchin burger ya saw on the food channel ... those places you see on those shows pay to get on there ... it just another way to advertise their sheeeiot......just a FYI for ya...if your going to Memphis to eat something it better be Bar B Q ... that is what the city is known for...there are a bunch of killer Bar B Q joints in Memphis .. If you are going to take a trip to Memphis you might want to consider attending "MEMPHIS IN MAY" that is the national championship Bar B Q cookoff .... FireHawk, Memphis is a haul from Chattanooga. I grew up there so I could show you a good Tn. burger. Chattanooga is a great place to hangout with a nice downtown night life. Once again, I can't freakin' wait and it's all a part of the coolest car-guy thing you can do. I'll be coming from Texas for the Long Haul!
