M&H racemaster or Hoosier QTP dot slicks
I am ready to buy my tires, but still hung up on which ones, I have had some great advice, (THANKS JASON) I am wanting to stay with a 27" tire, I just had the car dynoed, 463HP 428tq and I will be leaving on a 150 shot in a heavy 6-speed car with a 3.75 gear ratio. I think the car would spin on a "26and I am not cutting my bumper cover to fit a 28". I am stuck between the hoosier -QTP dot slicks 27x11.5x15- and the -M&H racemaster 27x9x15- full slicks, because they come in a size that I think would be perfect. they will be going on my convo pros. I have heard alot of guys say that the hoosier qtp tires will not hook like a full drag slick. I am wanting to get the best out of my car at the track, but I have not really heard to much about the M&H so please chime in, I KNOW THAT alot of guys say run a stiff wall slick on the 6speed car...Im reading help me out I am going to buy tires within the next few days.

I have heard lots of good things about the H and M tires. Hoosier is proven! I would think the full slick would offer similar traction in the narrower tire. From hearing people online in many places I say the H&M.

The only thing is this, The tires are gonna be 400$, I dont want to drop another 200+ bucks on some adustable LCAs when I have the Tubular ones, from BMR. As It sits now with the LCA brackets I welded in, my wheel sits centered in the well. With the 28 inch tire, I am not sure if that would be too much tire for my 3.75 gear ratio, that was the main reason I was leanin on the 27 inch. I would love to run the 26 but have heard alot of guys say that was not enough tire.
But If I am hearing right there are some guys out here with the M&H Slick that are working well.?

28x9 et drag is a 27.3 inch tall tire, and will fit with no cutting or rubbing, I've had them on several cars and they fit. 27x10.5 or 11.5 qtp fit without any cutting/rubbing, the 28's, when they grow, there was no way my 20x10.5S et drag was going to clear that needed to have the bumper trimmed a little, very little, but a little.
Overall, I think, that the 28x9 ET drag, or the qtp, or the given m&h will work. Honestly, it's going to come down to preferance in alot of cases. Some people just have better luck with some tires then others do.
Biggest thing I think you can fit, is a 27x11.5 qtp. That's a decent tire, I've gone bottom 1.5x on them when I ran my car on motor, I think now knowing what I do 1.4x would be possible on them, at the time I was running them I had just started racing my sled, now having everything set right and knowing what to do when the car isn't right, I could get them to work. The 28x9 et drag, IMO works better then a 26x10 does, but it's not the 28x10.5S tire. The S tire has been the best tire I have put on the car to date.

We are cutting consistent 1.430 60's with m6 and heavy 3500lb car with the wheels up in 1st and 2nd gear on a set of M & H 27 full race slicks with tubes. Just be sure to use rim screws with the tubes my wheels are spinning 2-3 " per pass and we need to keep swapping from side to side to accomadate this until I get the wheels drilled.

Im in the same boat now that my et streets wont get me the 60' I was hoping for. Im currently running 15x10 prostars with 4.11 rear gear on my 01 M6 camaro. I think the 26" tire doesnt have enough tire wrap so Im looking to go 27" tall. Will the M&H 27x9" wide be enough? and will they fit on a 10" rim? DO I want to go with a cheater slick or a full slick?

Who to get them from
Pm me if you want to know where I got the M&H slicks from his price was the same as summit, just a little bit more on shipping but well worth it, super guy to talk to, and a racer, will give you a ton of advice and gave me his number to call him with any questions on the track. Support a Real guy trying to make a living, and buy from him. I dont think I can post his info because hes not a sponsor, so PM me for it.

Everyone I have talked to said take out the tubes. I don't see any real need since they are already there. Almost no weight and I won't be spinning the wheels since I don't make that much power. Any other reason to remove the tubes? Going to the track tonight and the more I hear about it I think I will take the tubes out before I load it up.
