Need Exhaust Help !! for more Power
Mods in signature. As it says I am running AFR 205's 224/228/114 comp cam Pacesetter LT with Texas speed Catted Y goin into 3in 4in Merge collecter into SLP LM Exhaust. I dynoed 427rwhp and 398TQ My question is should I get electrict cutouts 1 or 2 how many? DO I need to get rid of the Pacesetters Is that holding me back on power . I want the maximum horsepower from my setup. I heard QTP or ARH headers are the best for power. What do you guys recommend. Should I leave everything alone. Please opinion Thanks.
PS I wanna keep cats weather I keep these or go something else Thanks

Are your numbers off a mustang dyno or a dynojet or dyno dynamatic? It seems to me you look like your numbers are right and I don't think there's nothing you left on the table power wise and if you do upgrade if you do it yourself you may spend $400 (maybe 5 to 10 hp if that) for the headers and if someone else install them then you will have to pay for labor. Be personally I think it would be a waste of money but it ain't my money it's yours.

Actually I didn't notice it a first but if you want more power then you may need to step up with more of a cam. If you can do it yourself but if you want more power I would say maybe more of a cam would do it cause you have everything there. My cam is similar to a VRX3. An you have a ported fast 92/92 which I just have an LS6 intake.

Well as far as exhaust goes I think I've found one of the best flowing non-true dual setups, as I'm making more power than most people are with the same mods that use an ORY, and I have cats.
Kooks long tube headers (1 3/4"), matching Kooks y-pipe with high flow cats, and Borla exhaust with the wide open plate. For having that, an intake, and a non-dyno tune, I'm making 360 rwhp and 375 ft lbs. I credit most to the Kooks headers and y-pipe, I gained a HUGE amount of power when I added those. I've not had experience with ARH headers but I've heard they flow very well, up there with Kooks. Eventually when I get AFR 205's, a TSP 228R, Fast 92/92, UD pulley, and injectors I'm really hoping for near 500 rwhp.

Yea for the most part everyone is right. You can't get much more free-flowing than the LM1, which is what I have also. I also have the Pacesetter longtubes, which I believe to be decent, I've always heard the Pacesetter Y sucks tho. Most people get a better flowing Y or create their own merge (heard the flowmaster merge is good).Deleting the cats wouldn't do much nor would cutouts. I ran open headers for a few days before I got my LM1 on, and let me tell you, you could hardly tell the difference in loudness lol. Spend your money on more beneficial mods.
