Cam Install-What all do I need?

Obviously a cam/springs/pushrods would be the basic things, thats all I did. While its torn apart, do what I wish I would have done and go ahead and get a 160* thermostat, LS6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain, spark plugs and wires if needed. Get all the gaskets you'll need and a new crank bolt. If you can afford it all, do it. I couldn't so I just did cam/springs/pushrods. But it will be so much easier to do all of that while its torn apart. When putting the timing chain cover back on, tighten the bottom bolts first, or you'll crack your oil pan. Hope this helps.

The chain should be just fine and the LS1 cover will work. I've heard of guys getting the LS2 timing chain kit and having to "play around" with the sprocket to get it on, others get it on no problem, most people just do the chain it self. Go with the ported LS6 oil pump. Good luck with your swap. I love mine. Keep us updated
