Just bought a SS with a TSP 408 - what headers?
I just bought a 408CI Camaro yesterday... still on the way back home with it.
It's a TSP 408ci stroker, stg 3 ls6 heads, ms4 cam, fast 90/90 setup, textrailia, and currently has flowtech lt's with emissions hookups, catless y pipe, and magnaflow catback.
The car made 476rwhp/465rwtq through a 6spd, 12 bolt with 4.10s, through full exhaust on TSP's dyno.
That's decent power for the mild cam size for the 408 and through a full, somewhat restrictive exhaust. I'm planning on getting different headers to clean up the engine bay and hopefully free up some power, along with a cutout. Cutouts are pretty generic, so my biggest question is where to find power with headers?
1 3/4 or 1 7/8? I was looking at LPP's because I had them on my last car and loved them for the price, stainless, and fitment. Would I be choking the bigger cubes with that? Another thing I was considering were TSPs bigger tubed headers.
The plans for the car include being cammed larger and an auto and spray.. it's a street/strip car that I'm planning on getting setup over winter for racing season in march. Thanks

is tehre a difference, aside from material, brand to brand?
i know everyone says get kooks or ARH.... is there a reason to get kooks or ARH over something like the LPP ones that are half the price?

I don't know about the LPP's but yes the name but you get what you pay for also. I don't know much about LPP's and haven't had any experience with them but I have had pacesetters and Kook's both on an 98 ls1. I would say that the kooks and arh tuck tighter and you don't have to put an hanger on the Y-pipe to keep it off the floorboard. I really don't know but I do know that the kooks tucks up alot better and when you have headers and Y-pipe that tucks better then than means you came mayber lower your car and not have many clearance issues or any at all. But I've had exhaust before that hit the floorboard and scrape and I tell you what I got where I didn't like driving the car anymore and that was at stock ride height. An not knocking out or putting LPP's down what so ever.

I'm in Hays, KS
I'm strongly debating between the TSP 1 7/8 headers, and the Edelbrock 1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped headers. Price difference is negligible. Anyone sportin the edelbrocks?

1 7/8" without a doubt for the bigger cube 408. I've done that testing time & time again the bigger primaries will definitely shine with the extra cubes.
