The LS7 clutch that never dies.
First off let me give you all some history here, this LS7 clutch has been in my cam only + 100-150 plate shot 98 Formula for over 3 years, with in those first 3 years, the clutch has seen a good bit of "street duty" on and off the spray and some good bit of track duty but only launching at around 2500 RPM, this summer, I had my Fab. 9" in and really put a hurting on my 3+y/o LS7 clutch, a whole season of 6K+ RPM hard clutch dumps, on and off the spray and thats with spray off the line too.
Well tonight I finally decided to swap out to a Spec Twin that I bought from a friend and was a little excited to see what the old LS7 looked like.......well....a picture says a thousands words....
Amazing to say the least, that this clutch looks this good still.
I'll throw in some pics of the Spec Twin too as a bonus....

Ya it worked fine, but when at the track it didn't like to hot lap after about 3-4 runs, so i updated to the Tick MC, but still never ran any more then 3-4 runs considering the age and the 6K launches on the LS7, then got a good deal on the Spec Twin and jumped on it, plus the car is going to be seeing more track then street duty now as well.

The LS7 and a Spec Twin are in two differant classes all there own, I have heard good things about the Stage 3 Spec though. I would say if your not going to be doing much drag racing and are staying more on the street DD side then the LS7 clutch can't be beat as for as cost and reliablilty, but if you are drag racing on a regular basis...well then...look into something else for a clutch, like a Spec, Textralia, or Monster.

Good to hear the good review for a change
I went with a spec stage 3+ because I read some bad reviews with the CTS-V guys and the LS7 clutch not lasting for us...
Im happy with the spec but sometimes its a bit anoying if im on a hill or just let the clutch out to fast....
Nice twin disk to BTW !
