Default Synthetic Blend with an OE Auburn Posi

Let me start off by saying that I have run Torsen's for the entire life of the car. This is my first Auburn posi unit. I have two quarts of Valvoline "synthetic blend" that I was about to pour into this thing until I read that Auburn's are not recommended to be run with synthetic fluids.

What about a synthetic blend? Should I use this? Of course I will be adding the GM additive as well.

Thumbs up

Regular Dino gear oil (85w90?) and TWO bottles of GM additive is what I run in my Auburn, quiet like a mouse...from what I hear the SYN fluids don't do well with the brass in the auburns...?

I read the same before my gear swap and went with what GM reccomended, dino + additive.

I have no idea why, but I wouldn't run anything else.. there's no reason to do so.
